Rowan Ardill

Get Active Community Worker

I joined the Get Active Team back in September 2009 having previously worked in the sports and fitness industry since leaving the University of Leeds where I studied Sports Development and Physical Education. I am the youngest member of the team but I have a wise head on young shoulders! I’m responsible for co-ordinating all the events for the team as well as lots of other things.

Interesting Fact:
I completed a professional football scholarship whilst at College, playing for Welsh Premier League Champions TNS!

Excuses for not being active:
Tired after a long day at work!

How do I do it?:
I train for Triathlons so I try and fit in exercise around my working hours, before work, lunch times and after work too. I tend to exercise on my own and I enjoy doing things like walking and gardening as well as triathlon training (swimming, cycling and running!)
